Nick Harris' health journey started very much like that of others...too much stress, over-indulgence, injury, illness, weight gain/weight loss/weight re-gain, starvation of time, low energy, loss of vitality and working to excess in an environment not in line with his own personal values.


Being diagnosed with cancer and a subsequent relocation to the USA provided an opportunity to evaluate his lifestyle. Difficult choices and changes were made and now achieving balance through a holistic approach to health and well-being is enabling him to live a life without unnecessary stress, injury, or illness.


Nick has a long sporting background and continues to enjoy playing soccer, training for a variety of endurance events and spending time with family. Using his experiences and certifications in holistic health, nutrition and exercise, he is able to help clients make positive changes to their lives.

Gayle Darby is a Health and Wellness Coach who motivates and empowers her clients while providing hands-on support and guidance.  

 

While working at two Fortune 500 corporations for over a span of 21+ years, Gayle found that job stress caused her to overeat, feel sluggish, sleep less, and was ultimately spent at the end of a long day.

Drawing on her own personal experience of overcoming and reversing serious health issues, today she helps people make lifestyle changes that produce measurable results.  Together, you will be setting goals and making sustainable changes that improve your health and ultimately, your life.

NUTRITION

You can’t expect to achieve a different result by doing the same things that got you into a situation. Changes in our habits are often uncomfortable but inevitable.  90% of clients wish to change their body composition in some way.

The most effective method of achieving this change is with a combination of simple exercise, lifestyle and most importantly, nutritional modifications. Nutrition is personal, individual and we are different in so many ways.  Finding optimal foods, in the right amounts that work with your body and goals are vital to improving your health.

Using a combination of Metabolic typing, food journalling, daily education and habit coaching, we’ll navigate your way through the confusion to explore and create your own path to success.

 

EXERCIsE

Exercise and movement will assist you on the path to optimal health so it is key that the type of exercise you’re prescribed considers many aspects. In addition to achieving results, you’ll also learn why the right type of exercise is important and what works best for your body.

To determine the direction of your program we’ll complete postural, core & movement assessments. Add into the mix your lifestyle factors, health and fitness goals, current fitness level, exercise history, a host of other programming elements and we’re almost ready to go.

Working with weights and a variety of other modalities, integrated movement, strength and flexibility training will reduce your body’s imbalances, improve movement “flow” to use more muscles, burn more calories and increase your metabolic rate.

Sessions are challenging and rewarding, and with regular assessments the program will be adapted as you progress.

We are the sum of our choices...life is tough and we may have to make hard decisions and overcome obstacles in our pursuit of wellness.

Change can be challenging, but very necessary in order to grow from the person that you are now into the person that you want to be...you can’t expect to do the same things, live the same way, just exercise a little and then become everything that you wish for.

Deep down, we already know the aspects of our lives that need a spring clean...it takes acceptance, commitment and bravery to take the first step but the right support and small changes can yield big results.

Simple and straightforward assessments, tools, resources and articles are available to identify and provide recommendations for change. Improvements can start to happen almost immediately, and achieving vitality with a healthy body will bring many benefits for both you and those around you.

 
 

OUR GOALs

POW Health Coaching is about helping people to live the lives they’ve always wished for, helping you get in the best shape of your life and staying that way.

Having goals of muscular arms, toned legs or sculpted abs are cool but these are a consequence of being healthy first and foremost - they aren’t achieved with biohacking yourself and short term fixes.

It’s for clients to learn what works for them and to develop their own, unique roadmap so they are able to keep achieving in the future, with or without POW Health Coaching by their side.
